Osamu Kanemura

Osamu Kanemura: Website

Osamu Kanemura began photographing in 1989. he specifically photographs the construction and demolition of Tokyo, his photos often centralise around different fragment of the city. Often use see crowded streets of people and transport. The crowded feel to his pictures contrast the new open and modern society that we are moving into.

Bernd & Hilla Bercher

The Becher's first started to take pictures like the ones above in 1959. They were intrigued that although the industrial buildings were in some ways unimportant and discarding, they seemed to have great design and attention to detail that when first looking at the building you would miss.

Together the Bercher's went out with a large format camera and photographed the buildings from several different angles but kept in mind that simplicity was they key to the end product being multiple photos put together.

Because the Bercher's kept the same view point and angles for each building they were then allowed to group several buildings together that were similar and display them together In a flowing sequence.

Mike Wells

 Starving Boy and a Missionary.
The following photo was taken in Uganda in the Karamoja District in 1980.
This picture won the 1980 World Press Photo of the Year.

As you can imagine i am hardly proud or happy to put this on my blog. The first thing that runs through your mind its shame isnt it? Surely nothing can be this bad? Well photographic proof that things are much worse then people expect.

There couldn't have been no greater way to show the fragility of the Uganda people then by contrasting the missionary hand with the boys hand.
